Le Pas is a developing Christian retreat we hope to base in the South of France with a unique mission to create a safe, inclusive outdoor space where youth groups, church groups and people with disabilities can stay, camp, rest and play. ​
Founded by John and Heather Hughes, the charity aims to provide a fully equipped space for fun, rest, and spiritual renewal, including adaptive facilities, physiotherapy support, and space for worship, creativity, and community.

We intend to embrace the local community and help guests to explore this beautiful area.
The charities purpose is to raise funds to create the retreat and purchase necessary equipment for the guests.
About Le Pas
Over the last couple of years John and Heather have had a vision to create a place for youth groups to enjoy a safe space in the outdoors, where they can play, have fellowship, enjoy nature and learn activities such as kayaking, sailing and biking.
Our goal is to buy a property in the South of France where there is enough land for camping, football, volleyball and general outdoor play that children enjoy.
Heather is a Chartered Physiotherapist and her passion is to include the disabled, as a fully inclusive experience. This will require level paths, ramps, disabled toilets and showers and separate accommodation for those that can’t camp.
We also wish to offer our property as a retreat for Christian groups who may wish to do training seminars, write books or songs, or pastors that just want to relax and recharge.
The disabled accommodation will also be available for retreats where carers can also stay with fully accessible hoists and facilities.
Upcoming Projects
Our future goal will be to build a swimming pool, with wheelchair ramped access, where everyone can enjoy the sunshine.
We think we may have found a suitable property that fits our requirement but it’s a long way to go yet.
